What a cool couple eh? Reading together, Max with his shades, and me with my seventies 'fro. This was taken in Spain in the summer of 2000. It was our first holiday together. We went with Max's parents and Isaac and Jay. I came out a few days after the rest of them and I was so excited when I saw Max at the airport. During those 2 weeks the boys taught me to play 666, a great card game. And I listened to RatPack for the first time, some of Max's favourite music. It wasn't all plain-sailing; one night the boys got in a row over whether to get a bus or taxi home. I was really drunk and decided I'd had enough by storming off down the road. Max had to chase after me and the 2 of us got in a taxi, while I think Ize and Jay got the bus!

Rose, i've told you before, but i love this pic. its so damn funny. One of the things that can bring a smile to my face is the amount of funny faces we have of Max. This is a one off, reading the Hobbit, sun blazing down, next to his Afro-Joe girlfriend, a ridiculous grin on his face, like a little kid. I miss him so much but at least he can still make us smile.ize.
