"The Mayor"

This is Max in his park. We spent many a day playing footy and generally just chilling out in Queens Park, some might say a few too many, but we never seemed to tire of it. There is no doubt that Max was a famous face around the area, not only due to his impossible football tricks and magnetic feet, but also his genuine desire to meet and talk to everyone. He was always able to find some sort of common ground where others might not have seen any; he would always be himself and never had an ulterior motive. True, sometimes it would get him into trouble but he was never afraid of taking the piss out of himself as a way of putting people at ease again. He is an infinite loss to all that knew him and also to those who had not yet had the privilege.

I must have met Max before my earliest memory because I don't seem to have many that he is not a part of. I can take some consolation from having shared such a large part of my life with him, and O, Ize and Dash, but cannot accept that we will not be able to add to them, it feels like a massive part of the future has disappeared. I will never stop missing you Max.

Too true Lou. A massive part of the future has been lost. That is my biggest worry and sadness. We will just have to stick together to keep the memory alive so that Max will always be with us. Ize
